We’ll Fix it in Post Productions; a WA State Company was formed in 2008 by filmmaker Chris R Wilson as
a foundation to bring his visions of entertainment to a mass audience. Wilson was born in Washington
State and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in General Art from Lower Columbia College, he went
on to graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Portland
in 2002. His love of filmmaking has been present since his childhood when making home movies with
friends, and what would have been a simply children’s hobby has been a lifelong goal. Starting with
his first live action film project for a film class at the Art Institute Wilson received the schools highest
honor. He then followed that with his 3D animation work, which includes an original short entitled
The Adventures of Nerm & BG has won several awards locally and nationally. He followed Nerm and BG
with another solo-animation project currently in production; a sequel entitled The Chronicles of Nerm
where he cast known actors in both the Portland and Los Angeles areas for voice talent. His current cast
includes: Zoe Bell (ABC’s Lost, Quentin Tarantino’s Deathproof) Shelly Lipkin, (TV’s Laverne & Shirley
and The Fugitive) Marc Graue (Voices for World of Warcraft) Alex Mentzel (TV’s Leverage, w/ Morgan
Freeman in Feast of Love) among others.
His incredible post-production skills lend themselves handily to a company where the title speaks: “We’ll
Fix it in Post” as he is a talented Editor, Visual Effects Artist, 3D Animator, Sound Designer, Sound
Editing, Music and Soundtrack Designer. Having this background along with his professional experience
gives him a foundation as a Film Director unmatched by most. Wilson has been asked by several
other filmmakers in his local area to direct their films and while he has accepted a couple offers, time
constraints with his own projects keep him extremely busy.
As a writer, Wilson has unique and original story ideas as evident in his original animations Nerm & BG
and The Chronicles of Nerm followed by the comical, and cleverly written (with co-writer Tim Feeney)
short film JAMES VS REALITY, which has went on to be accepted to 22 US and International Film Festivals
and counting. JAMES VS REALITY WON BEST COMEDY SHORT at the DIY Film Festival in Los Angeles,
CA in March 2011 and AN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE at the Accolade Film Awards in San Diego, CA earlier
this year. In September 2011 it will screen at the highly regarded Dragon*con in Atlanta GE. JAMES VS
REALITY, represents the extremes that Wilson’s company will go to bring big budget entertainment to
low-budget indie short films.
With the success of his live action short and the continuing production of The Chronicles of Nerm,
Wilson will now step forward into a bigger market and concentrate on making feature films for mass
audiences. As a company, We’ll Fix it in Post will head up a three motion picture plan over the next 7
years. All three features are original in nature yet unrelated, showcasing the creative diversity that has
been a cornerstone for Wilson and his career.
Not wanting to simply settle as a local film geek who makes projects for only a local market, Wilson’s
company has set himself apart by more than thinking outside the box….it would be more accurate to say
he blew up the box.
